iCarnegie Curriculum System: Technical Requirements
In order to participate in the iCarnegie curriculum, you must have a PC with the following:
- Pentium II processor or higher
- Windows 2000/XP
- At least 100MB free hard drive space
- Some suggested values for ram are: 2000/XP 128+MB
- Color monitor (at least VGA standard); standard keyboard and mouse
- Internet connection; proxy/firewall connection usually works, but may introduce complications
- Either Internet Explorer Version 5.5 or above, or Netscape Navigator version 7.01, 7.02, 7.1 or above
iCarnegie requires that the following are enabled within your browser preferences:
- Cookies must be enabled
- Scripting (JavaScript) must be enabled
iCarnegie’s courses use JavaScript and session cookies to deliver your course information, keep track of your progress within the course material and allow you to complete exams.
These items are enabled by default in Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator. If these items have been disabled in your browser, see your browser's online help for information about re-enabling them.
